My Life With Sue

Sometimes, or might I say, very often,
and in this instance,
at particularly specific and important moments,
Life has a way of reorienting our path
in a very surprising and convincing fashion.

Whenever this happens,
I guess we should be aware of it,
not be stubborn,
swallow our pride and just follow
what seems to be evident and inevitable.

In this case, luckily,
one particular tangent
brought me to reinvent my life,
change careers, work really hard,
rebuild a life and a future,
and more importantly,
find my soulmate.

this piece is dedicated to my dear Sue.
