I dozed off listening to my new compositions
during the process of titling them.

While this piece was playing.
I found myself transported instantly
to the room where my mother and i
had our last moments together.

I relived it in its entirety.
I remembered vividly every word.
I told her I loved her,
that she had done a great job.
that everything would be alright
and that she could peacefully leave
and finally be free.

My dear mother died
a few moments later.
