about

It would be our last day in California.

After a few days in San Francisco,
Carmel, Monterrey, the 17 mile drive,
lunch at Pebble Beach and wine tasting in Napa,
we drove to Sonoma.
We chose to stay outside the city.
Its countryside was so appealing and
naturally inviting, we fell in love.

I can still remember that morning.
The sun was bursting its way over the
horizon of such a unique part of California.
Time froze, I was stunned, amazed.
I immediately thought:

"I could live here"

The night before, we had walked to
the restaurant « the Fig Cafe ».
After a luscious meal, night had fallen.
Luckily, the « Gaige House » had provided
flashlights for us to find our way back..

lyrics

It was such a cool way to conclude,
in the dark, a delightful evening
and also our journey,
on this charming country road.

Sonoma's Sunrise and its nightfall
were a glorious and inclusive finale
to a memorable vacation...because...
Time goes by...
