The Flying Snowbird Shuffle

The essence of this piece was written on a plane in 2017, escaping Montreal's November Blues, flying way over the clouds,
towards the sun, its comfort, its light and Naples warmer weather.

Eventually completed this piece on the ground, months later.
The feeling of flying was still there back in Montreal for the recording.
Still happy to to shuffle, to solo that piano, to blow that horn,
to hit those drums and to walk that bass.

Grateful for the privilege of the entire experience
